Halo: Combat Evolved 3.5/5 stars

This game, is a very good game for beginners and even pros alike. The campaign has a excellent storyline, and is ahead of it's time in the graphic arena for the time it was developed.
The enemy IQ is good, they take cover, get on turrets, retreat etc... The IQ can be turned up or down, depending on what difficulty level you pick.

The multiplayer aspect in this game is very shallow and gets really repetitive. But it still keeps you entertained for about a few months.
Here are some good tips for playing Halo multiplayer.
Here are some good tips for playing Halo multiplayer.
First, Learn your ping/lead. Which is basically you gotta find out how far ahead of your target you have to shoot to hit them.
Second, although spamming your nades at your enemy/enemy spawn, may be a easy way to get in the top scores, it won't serve you well in the end. You will become too reliant on them, and have no skill with any weapon. Also, hogging is not a good way to get your kills either. (hogging means, to run someone over with your vehicle, giving you a kill. It's cheap, requires no skill, gives you bad habits and if you go against a good player, you'll get yourself killed.
Third, best gun to use is the pistol, and when you get more advance the sniper rifle.
Fourth, if you ever make a server, do not, and I repeat do not, make a server with shields, if you have banshees or scorpions on it.
Finally, although it may be fun playing on your own server you made, because you'll have 0 ping, which gives you (host advantage) because you have no lead. It isn't a good thing to do, because you'll get to used to your bullets landing exactly where your crosshair is, rather than learning your lead/ping. Therefore, the best way to get good, is go to like only 1 or 2 servers, and just play, play and play. And after awhile, you'll learn your ping/lead so well on those servers. Then you can expand to other servers, or just stay the pro on those servers.
Final conclusion, good game, good campaign storyline, but the multiplayer could use some better maps, more weapons, and more deepness.
