This game is mainly geared to people who are new to; problem solving, detective and mystery type games. Due to the fact that not everything means something, not as much decoding of codes, and most of the problem solving work is just figuring out riddles, rather than decoding pictures statues etc...
Secret Files Tunguska is not your typical problem solver game. Why? Because not everything means something. For example, you are trying to decode the code to open a box, but can't seem to get the right code. Then you see a picture of some person hanging on the wall right above the box you are trying to open, holding 5 flowers in one hand, and 3 in the other. Automatically you would think, "hey this picture must be here to give me some kind of hint or clue to get into this box." But in this game, that picture don't mean nothin.
Therefore, this game gets boring fast, due to it's low difficulty level and shallow game play.
The storyline runs like a movie going through haunted house. It follows a European girl or guy (you) depending on which you choose. You will run into ghosts, a guy all in black who hits you in the back of the head etc... The cut scenes are rather dramatic, with sudden loud noises, jerking camera etc.... For example, in one of the cut sences you ride your motorcycle home. You walk in, and you call out saying "anyone home? hello?" but hear nothing in return all you hear is silence, then you walk up the stairs, and you hear some craking wood as if someone's right behind you. (very cliche) Then BOOM! The camera jerks back and you see a hooded man, and almost immediately you see red fading into your screen. End of cut scene.
The graphics in this game are average, nothing special but nothing awful. But probably not as good as your typical adventure game's graphics.
For what you get in Secret Files Tunguska, it is also very overpriced at $29.99. In my mind, it is probably worth $14.99.
Final conclusion: Secret Files Tunguska is geared mainly toward beginner detective/problem solver. But even for them, this game can get boring real fast. I do not recommend this game, to anyone who has experience with detective/problem solver type games. But if you are looking for a more advanced detective/problem solver, I would suggest the Traitor's Gate games.
