Game Review: Rainbow Six: Raven Shield

Rainbow Six: Raven Shield, is one of the better but not best, team based tactical shooter out there. Here are the reasons why.

First, Rainbow Six: Raven Shield makes it easy to command/direct your squad members and squads from a FPS view. Therefore, preventing fustration when trying command your squad member to do something.

Second, this game has a very good variety of weapons and gadgets. Also Rainbow Six adds a strategic element to the average tactical shooter. It allows you to plan: waypoints for all of your squads, the routes to get to those waypoints. Therefore causing you to really think, what weapons you want to equip your squad members with.

Third, Rainbow Six is very realistic. For example, if one of your squad members die, you loose them for the duration of the game.

Ok... Enough about the pros of Rainbow Six: Raven Shield. It's time to talk about the cons. The things that cause Raven Shield to just be one of the better tactical shooters, and not the best.

Con number 1, the hostage IQ is horrible! They are annoying, make weird noises, don't do what you tell them to do, run right into the line of fire, run straight into your gas nades, and don't even follow or hold ground when you tell them. I mean, I know that could be more realistic, but come on! Isn't that a little overboard? It's a game for a reason, we don't want all that junk, that makes the game so fustrating. lol >.<

Con number 2, this game comes with aimbot.......... Good for inexperienced players, but super boring, not difficult enough etc... For pro gamers.

Con number 3, horrific storyline period.

Con number 4, Rainbow Six, does let you set an engagement mode for your squads/squad members to follow. Meaning, they don't let you tell them to, hold fire, fire at will, shoot only when engaged etc...

Summary, Rainbow Six: Raven Shield, could use alot of touching up. But it still is an good tactical shooter, that I would recommend playing. If you're a; new gamer or not used to tactical shooters.

But if you're more experienced, I would suggest looking into the Swat series of games.
