Guild Wars: Eye of the North2.5/5 stars

This is probably the worst expansion out of the 3 GW expansion games. (Yes, it is worse than Guild Wars Factions.)

Guild Wars: Eye of the North, has alot of faults: not enough/very little new map area added, no new classes, a minimal amount of new PvP skills, and they just didn't add or change enough things!
The storyline is average, but Guild War's cut scenes are always so pitiful. Basically a Guild War cut scene consists of: A bunch of emotes, with voices... Gah
Finally, since the Guild War's programmers are so busy creating Guild Wars 2, they don't update the game enough, and the events are all repeats or junky stuff.

The things that Guild Wars: Eye of the North did right is adding; new armor, new weapons, new PvE skills (which would be overpowered for PvP) and for all you Gwen lovers.... To play with the now all grown up Gwen.

Final conclusion: Guild Wars: Eye of the North expansion is basically a big Anet update. Not enough new PvP skills, very little new map area and no new classes. But the expansion also provides: a good amount of PvE skills (that would be overpowered for PvP), new armor and new weapons.

My advice is: Don't buy it, just play a different game, and wait till GW2 comes out and play that.
Because, Guild Wars announced that, GW2 is an entirely different game, and will not in any way be connected to; Guild Wars, Guild Wars: Factions, Guild Wars: Nightfall or Guild Wars: Eye of the North.

MMORPGs Top games

The MMORPG type game, has been very popular/rapidly gaining popularity. Here are top MMORPGs games, that are causing the MMORPG type game is to rise.



Rappelz
Probably the fastest rising f2p MMORPG out there. The graphics are sweet and the game play is fun. It's almost too good to be an f2p. Therefore I wouldn't be surprised if they come out with a "special membership fee" or start selling expansions. (I say, that Rappelz could become Guild War's up and coming rival in no monthly fee MMORPG game arena.)







Flyff
Another f2p, but unlike Rappelz Flyff is about f2p quality. This game is very time consuming, and a game that I would suggest not to play unless you got alot of time on your hands. But, Flyff has been very popular, I think people like the light hearted play, and how it's such a "cute MMORPG" Therefore, this game also is on the rise. (It's a good pickup game, as long as you're fine with your character getting stuck at level 20 or so.)

Guild Wars
Not a f2p, because the game is too good to be one. Guild Wars is probably the second most popular MMORPG game. With good reason, because it has; Good and deep game play and pretty good graphics. (I don't suggest buying the Eye of the North expansion)
I would say Guild Wars was probably the fastest rising MMORPG out there, but in my mind it has kind of peaked out and is now starting to decline. Therefore, I don't think Guild Wars will start to rise again, until the release of Guild Wars 2.
(The people in Guild Wars American Districts are not the nicest peeps around, and beware there are fake girls everywhere.)


World of Warcraft
The leader in MMORPG games, with good reason. Great graphics, and great, deep and entertaining game play. So entertaining that it's addicting.. 0_0 As we say here at Teh Geekopedia, "WoW is a drug."
It isn't a f2p and they charge a monthly fee, but it's totally worth it, if you can afford it.....

Runescape
This game was rising fast awhile ago.. But has also peeked out awhile ago. The game is basically a pitiful attempt to copy WoW. But it's free, therefore it did very well.. But now, most of Runescape's players are quiting and not many new players are joining.




Everquest
Everquest was probably the first big MMORPG game to hit the market. But now years later, it has lost alot of it's popularity, due to WoW and Guild Wars. Therefore, it has peaked out..









Knight Online
This game is on the rise fast, but I think it's gonna peak out soon. Pretty good game play considering the fact that it's f2p.. But there are so many hackers in that game, it's sad.
Final summary regarding Knight Online is, it's gonna go down soon, it just isn't a well run or maintained game.

Things to keep an eye on:

NC Soft, they have been producing some good, solid and popular MMORPGs. Also the game.
Last Chaos they are growing, they'll either become big, or fade into obscurity.

Guild Wars v.s. World of Warcraft

Hello people of America and the world!

Today, we are going to compare two MMORPG games, Guild Wars (GW) and World of Warcraft (WoW).

Guild Wars vs World of Warcraft (Graphics)

WoW wins. It has better shadows, better texture, and just more real feeling.

Guild Wars vs World of Warcraft (Game play)

Again WoW wins. Why? Because WoW has more and better skills/spells. Another reason, you can jump and fly in WoW. In Guild Wars, you can only run. Which gives WoW another plus! it's just more fun to jump/fly, than just walk, it keeps you more entertained. Also, WoW is just a bigger game, giving you alot more things to do, places to go, and things to kill! XD

Guild Wars vs World of Warcraft (Longevity of entertainment)

By far WoW... As many say, it's so addicting, it's like a drug! :O lol

Is WoW still better than Guild War, even though WoW has a monthly fee?

Totally yes! You get like a 2x better game for that monthly fee. More depth, better gameplay, more options, more entertaining, more customized, and just more fun!

World of Warcraft vs Guild Wars (For kids)

Guild Wars wins this one... For these reasons; kids are usually on a tight budget, so they can't afford the monthly fee. But, I think if you guys just only play WoW instead of buying other games like GW, you should be able to afford the fee. Because, 1 game of GW is like $40-$50, and $50 can pay for a good amount of months of WoW. Therefore, just don't buy other games and only play WoW, and you will be able to afford it. Trust me it's worth it, WoW won't let ya down.

Final result.

WoW is just a better game period. *ding ding ding!* Although it has a monthly fee, you get so much bang for you buck, it's worth it.

Remember, there's a reason why it's the leader in MMORPG games.

Game Review: Flyff

The game Flyff is an f2p game. Meaning it's "free 2 play" therefore, you can't have too much of a high expectation... But is it worth spending your time playing Flyff? In my view, no... The only fun part of it is flying, and you get your ability to fly at level 20+. But after level 20, the leveling is time consuming and grueling. The graphics are not awe strucking, but they are ok.

(When I first tested this game, I couldn't get my character to stop jumping, I think either my space bar was glitching, or I hit auto jump or something. XD) But I got over it...lol

Final conclution, I could see Flyff being a good game if you have alot of time on your hands... But I would suggest investing your time into something more fun. Like gpotato's other game Rappelz, or if you're cool with buying the game, and not downloading it for free. I would suggest Guild Wars, or World of Warcraft.
